About Westwood Way, the former E.ON offices
E.ON's former UK offices stand on Westwood Way, in Westwood Business Park on Coventry's south-western edge. The company moved to a new building in the city centre in October 2025. Redford Developments, a Warwickshire firm, has since bought the site in an undisclosed deal, Place Midlands reported in May 2026.
Redford's outline plan, drawn up with Stantec as architect and Marrons as planning consultant, proposes demolishing the offices and building up to 100 homes, with highway works, public open space and a children's play area. A public consultation for local residents took place in April 2026, before the application went in.
The council's planning register received the outline application in May 2026; at the time of writing it awaits a decision.
OpenStreetMap places this stretch of Westwood Way between Canley and Westwood Heath, on the south-western edge of the city and close to the University of Warwick. Surveyors, demolition contractors and the teams preparing a site like this often work here for several weeks before the first new homes go up.
