About Jaguar Land Rover Gaydon Centre

The Jaguar Land Rover Gaydon Centre stands on the site of RAF Gaydon, a former V bomber base, near the village of Gaydon in south Warwickshire. It is an engineering and development facility and was once the Land Rover headquarters.

Today it is one of JLR's engineering centres, working alongside the Whitley site in Coventry. Many engineers and contractors split their time between the two. Coventry sits between Gaydon and the motorway network to the north.

Two other big names share the area. The British Motor Museum, next to the JLR site, holds the largest collection of historic British cars in the world, tracing the industry from the early twentieth century to today. Immediately north of the JLR site are the headquarters and main plant of Aston Martin, where James Bond cars including the DBS V12 and the DB10 were built.

The village sits within a mile of junction 12 of the M40, which was completed in January 1991. Buses are run by Stagecoach Midlands, with services towards Leamington Spa and Banbury.

Humber Hub is about 18 miles by road from the Gaydon Centre, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 18 miles and Sullivan Heights about 20 miles. None of them is on the doorstep, but for a team that also works at Whitley, or wants the city for evenings and weekends, a whole house in Coventry with parking and a kitchen is often the better base.
