Alternative accommodation for insurance claims in Coventry

When a flood, a fire or an escape of water puts a home out of action, a whole furnished house keeps the household together and close to school and work.

What you get

What a displaced household needs

The whole household together

Three bedrooms sleeping six, four bedrooms sleeping nine or four en-suite bedrooms sleeping 10, so nobody is split across hotel rooms.

A kitchen and a washing machine

Normal meals and clean school uniforms, which a hotel room cannot offer for weeks on end.

Ready when you arrive

Beds made, towels out and Wi-Fi on. Check the calendar or call us for the earliest date.

Bills included

Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and council tax are covered, so nothing needs switching over.

Stays that can stretch

Repairs overrun. A stay can be extended for as long as the work takes, up to twelve months.

Invoiced to the payer

A pro-forma invoice addressed to the insurer, the loss adjuster or the policyholder, whoever is paying.

How invoicing works

1. Send the details

The household size, the dates and who is paying, through the form or by phone.

2. Receive the pro-forma

An itemised pro-forma invoice, addressed to the payer, with the claim reference on it.

3. Payment before arrival

The payer settles the pro-forma by bank transfer before the stay begins.

4. Extend if needed

If the repairs run on, we extend the stay and send a pro-forma for the extra nights.

The detail

How it works for a claim

A household whose home is uninhabitable usually wants to stay near where it lives: the same schools, the same journey to work, the same neighbours to check on the house. All four of our houses are in Stoke, on the east side of Coventry, so a family from anywhere in the city stays within a few miles of home.

Sullivan Heights, in Upper Stoke, has three bedrooms, a living room and a private garden, which suits a family with children. Humber Hub, in Lower Stoke, has four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, around a big open-plan living room and kitchen, with free off-road parking. Stoke Lodge and Stoke House have four bedrooms, two bathrooms and an enclosed garden each.

Claims handlers and loss adjusters can book on the household's behalf. We put the claim reference on the pro-forma invoice, take payment by bank transfer before arrival and extend the stay with a fresh pro-forma if the work runs on.

Groups and teams

A whole house costs less than the hotel rooms it replaces

Checked on 9 October 2026: six people for a week from 7 November came to £949 at Sullivan Heights booked direct, against £1,098 for three rooms at the cheapest Coventry hotel listed on Booking.com. See the comparison.

  • One booking and one invoice instead of several rooms
  • A kitchen, so meals are not on expenses every night
  • A living room to end the day in together
