Room by room
Four bedrooms, four en-suites
Humber Hub is laid out for people who share a house but keep different hours. All four bedrooms come with their own en-suite shower room, so one person's early start never turns into a queue for everyone else. Beds are made up with fresh linen and towels are waiting when you arrive.
One big room downstairs
The living room and kitchen run into each other, with a large corner sofa, a Smart TV and a glass dining table. Doors open on to a private garden behind the house. It is the room where a team ends the day together.
A kitchen you can cook in
There is an oven, a hob, a microwave, a tall fridge-freezer, a kettle and a toaster, with the cooking essentials to make a proper meal for the whole house rather than eating out every night.
Laundry and work
For longer stays there is a washing machine, plus an iron and ironing board. Broadband runs at 500 Mb, enough for several laptops, video calls and streaming at once. There is also a desk for anyone with paperwork to finish.
Parking
Parking is off-road and free, so vehicles are not left looking for a space on the street at the end of a shift.
House rules: No smoking inside, no parties or events and no pets.
Who Humber Hub suits
Contractor crews and trade teams get a bed each, a private bathroom each and parking at the house. Project and engineering teams working at the Jaguar Land Rover site in Whitley, about 2 miles away, get one house, one booking and one invoice.
Families use it when they are moving to Coventry or waiting for a home to be repaired and parents use it for graduation weekends at Coventry University, a mile or so away by road.
