The project

About Keresley sustainable urban extension

The Keresley Sustainable Urban Extension is the plan for around 3,100 new homes on the north-western edge of Coventry. Keresley Parish Council's record of the applications lists the main parcels and their builders: Bellway Homes on Fivefield Road and Tamworth Road with 550 homes, David Wilson Homes on Penny Park Lane and Bennetts Road with 450, Lioncourt between Sandpits Lane, Bennetts Road and Tamworth Road with 800 and another 500 off Thompsons Road and Bennetts Road North.

Smaller schemes fill the gaps, among them 54 affordable homes at the former Coventry Sports Club on Bennetts Road, built by Partner Construction with Midland Heart. Two schemes on Watery Lane add 57 more.

The work runs phase by phase. Coventry City Council's planning register shows 58 applications across the Keresley parcels between January 2025 and July 2026, most of them to approve the details of phases that already have permission, the step that comes before each phase is built.

That rhythm brings in groundworkers, bricklayers, roofers, site managers and the utility crews who connect each new street, many of them for months at a time. A house with a full kitchen and parking for a van is a better base for that than a hotel room.

Sullivan Heights is about 5 miles by road from the Keresley sites, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 5 miles and Humber Hub about 6 miles. Sullivan Heights, on the north side of the city, is the closest of the four. Stoke Lodge and Stoke House sleep 18 between them for a larger crew.
