Stays near Holbrooks and the Coventry Building Society Arena

Three miles or so north-west of the city centre, next to Foleshill, Holbrooks is a residential area whose housing mostly dates from the 1950s, when private and council homes replaced those lost in Second World War air raids. Its biggest green space is Holbrooks Park, on Holbrook Lane, while the Stadium estate, off Lythalls Lane, takes its name from the dog racing stadium that used to stand there.

The Coventry Building Society Arena is close by. Coventry City play there; it opened as the Ricoh Arena in 2005 and seats 32,609 for football and rugby. Its concert list runs from Bruce Springsteen to Coldplay and The Rolling Stones. It was an Olympic football venue in 2012, took part in the 2022 Commonwealth Games and has an exhibition hall of 6,000 square metres.

Coventry Arena station, on the line between Coventry and Nuneaton, opened in 2016, the same day Bermuda Park station opened. Trains run south through Coventry and Kenilworth to Leamington Spa and north through Bedworth to Nuneaton.

Sullivan Heights is the nearest of our four homes, about 3 miles by road from Holbrooks and from the Arena. It sleeps six, so it suits a family or friends coming for a match, a concert or an exhibition, as well as contractors working in the north of the city. Humber Hub, about 4 miles away, takes groups of up to 10.
