The project

About Ansty Park technology park

Ansty Park is a technology park planned to provide 1.5 million square feet of space for industry, technology and research in 100 acres of landscaped parkland. It has direct access to junction 2 of the M6 about four miles north of Coventry, with six motorway junctions within 20 miles.

Its occupiers include the Manufacturing Technology Centre, HTRC, Sainsbury's, FANUC, AVL and The London Taxi Company, whose new vehicle plant here the park describes as a £300 million investment. Its successor, the London EV Company, has its headquarters on the park. AVL has built a technical centre on the park.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a research and technology organisation founded in 2010 and part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, supported by Innovate UK. It brings engineers and researchers from across the country to work with manufacturers on new technology.

The park takes its name from the village of Ansty next door, where the northern Oxford Canal passes through. In the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s Armstrong Siddeley Motors developed gas turbines and rocket motors nearby, including the Gamma motors for the Black Knight and Black Arrow launchers. The park's master plan uses green buffers as wildlife corridors and recreational routes.
