Contractor accommodation for Leamington Spa

Leamington grew as a spa, but the Warwick and Napton Canal, opened in 1799, brought coal, pig iron and limestone and with them a run of foundries making cast iron stoves. The Eagle Foundry, dating from at least 1851, still makes Rangemaster Aga stoves.

The Imperial Foundry, later taken over by Ford, cast engine blocks until it closed in 2008. Automotive Products built a factory in the south of the town in 1928 that was still working in 2009, on a smaller scale.

Most of the light industry and offices sit to the south of the town, on the Althorpe Street, Queensway, Shires Gate and Sydenham estates. In 2021 the Rosalind Franklin laboratory opened in the town, designed to process hundreds of thousands of samples a day and expected to create up to 1,500 jobs.

Leamington is also the heart of Silicon Spa, a significant global centre for video game development, with more than a thousand people employed directly in making games. Playground Games, Sumo Leamington and Kwalee are among the studios based in or around the town.

The M40 is three miles from the town and the A46 links it to Coventry. Humber Hub is about 9 miles by road from Leamington, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 10 miles and Sullivan Heights about 12 miles. Every house gives a fit-out team Wi-Fi, a kitchen and free parking.
