Cubbington is the village on Leamington Spa's north-eastern edge, on the old drovers' road between London and Wales.
Cubbington is a village and civil parish of 3,929 people on the north-eastern outskirts of Leamington Spa, about three miles from the town centre. Since it grew in the 1950s it has had two parts, the old village core and New Cubbington to the west, though both go by Cubbington.
Welsh Road, which runs through the village crossroads, was an old drovers' route for sheep between London and Wales. The village rises from about 60 metres above sea level to about 100 metres at its highest point.
Domesday records it as Cobintone and Cubintone, the settlement of Cubba's people. In early November 1605 some of the Gunpowder Plotters, Robert Catesby among them, passed through on their flight from London after Guy Fawkes was arrested, heading for Wales by way of Warwick Castle and fresh horses.
Apart from the parish church, the village's best-known landmark was a windmill on Windmill Hill, where Welsh Road crosses the road to Rugby. It is first mentioned in 1355, in a dispute between the Prior of Kenilworth and the Abbot of Stoneleigh.

The place was fantastic, the bed was clean and orderly, cozy and comfortable, and we loved the cupcakes left on the table. Perfect for anyone new to Coventry for business or fun.
