Sport has deep roots here. Major Henry Gem and Augurio Pereira formed the world's first lawn tennis club in Leamington in 1872 and the modern rules were drawn up at Leamington Tennis Club in 1874. The town also has the oldest purpose-built real tennis court in the world and the Royal Leamington Spa Bowling Club in Victoria Park hosts the National Lawn Bowls Championships each year.

For culture, the Royal Pump Rooms on the Parade house the Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum, with more than 12,000 objects. The Spa Centre doubles as theatre and cinema, The Loft is an amateur playhouse and Jephson Gardens stages outdoor productions in summer. The free Peace Festival, held in the Pump Room Gardens since 1978, had returned by 2026. From 1951 to 1961 the Lights of Leamington festival lit up Jephson Gardens every year.
