The project

About Allard Way, Taylor Wimpey

Allard Way is a Taylor Wimpey development on the southern fringe of Coventry. The housebuilder describes up to 125 new homes, a quarter of them affordable, ranging from one to four bedrooms, with green space around the edge of the site and more within it.

Taylor Wimpey presents it as an urban neighbourhood with links to the city centre, Birmingham and London. It points buyers to Cathedral Lanes shopping centre, Coventry University and the canal.

The council's planning register shows three applications for the land at Allard Way between May 2025 and May 2026, one to approve details reserved by condition and two amendments, the paperwork that follows a scheme through its build.

Two groups of people need somewhere to stay while a scheme like this is built: the trades finishing each phase and the buyers waiting to move in. A furnished house nearby suits both, whether for a week of snagging or a month between a sale and a completion.

Humber Hub is about a mile by road from the site, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about a mile and Sullivan Heights about 3 miles. Humber Hub has four bedrooms and free off-road parking.
