The nearest home to Daventry: about 18 miles by road.

From Daventry the universities of Coventry and Warwick are a straight run along the A45. Our homes give a visiting family a base close to both.
Daventry's schooling goes back to 1576, when the woollen draper William Parker founded a grammar school; its schoolhouse of about 1600 still stands on New Street. A university technical college opened in the town in September 2013 for students aged 14 to 19, but it did not last.
For degree study, families look east to the University of Northampton or west along the A45 to Coventry University and the University of Warwick.
A graduation in Coventry suits a whole house in Stoke: Stoke Lodge and Stoke House are about a mile from the city-centre campus, close enough for a family to walk in on the day.
Coventry University's ceremonies bring thousands of families to the city each year; the university had 29,505 students in 2024/25. For Warwick, the campus on the south-western edge of the city is a few miles further out.
Younger children go to primaries such as St James' Junior, Falconer's Hill Academy, Abbey Church of England Academy and Ashby Fields. The arts centre on Warwick's campus is the biggest of its kind outside London.
For a time Daventry Tertiary College taught 16 to 18-year-olds on the old Grange school site.
