Long stays for work around Lutterworth

Magna Park sits in the so-called Golden Triangle, bounded by the M1, M6 and M69, which is why so much of Britain's warehousing has come here since 1988. In 2005 a major fire at Primark's warehouse on the park destroyed much of the company's stock, a reminder of how much is stored on the site.

Lutterworth lies on the A426 between Leicester and Rugby and beside junction 20 of the M1, with the A5 trunk road and the M6 a few miles away.

Sullivan Heights is about 17 miles by road from Magna Park, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 17 miles and Humber Hub about 18 miles. On a stay of several months the house matters more than the miles: a washing machine, a kitchen to cook in and free parking.

Traffic is the price of the park's success: about 3,000 heavy goods vehicles pass through Lutterworth each day and air pollution there has been reported as high.

The Sir Frank Whittle Studio School opened in 2015 for vocational courses and closed in 2019; its building is now part of Lutterworth College's sixth form.

The M1 opened just east of the town in 1964 and the M6 a few miles south in 1971. Today the A4303 bypass, opened in 1999, takes M1 traffic to the A5 without entering the centre.
