Corporate accommodation for Lutterworth

Magna Park was a joint venture between the Church of England and Asda in 1988, built on the former RAF Bitteswell airfield about 2.5 miles west of Lutterworth. Covering about 500 acres, it is seen as a pioneer of the large British distribution centre and in 2008 was the largest in Europe.

Tenants over the years have included Asda, Britvic, Honda, Toyota, BT, Argos, Lidl, Panasonic and TNT, which means a steady flow of managers, auditors and systems teams visiting the park.

Lutterworth sits beside junction 20 of the M1, which was built just east of the town in 1964, with the M6 a few miles south since 1971. Rugby station, about six miles south, is the nearest for trains to London and Birmingham.

Sullivan Heights is about 15 miles by road from Lutterworth, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 16 miles and Humber Hub about 17 miles. A visiting team gets one house, one set of keys and one pro-forma invoice carrying its purchase-order number.

Stanford Hall, a country house near the town, is a popular venue for corporate events.

After a site visit, a team staying in Coventry can eat in the cathedral quarter, where the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, named after the industrialist Sir Alfred Herbert, reopened in 2008 after a £14 million refurbishment.
