Long stay accommodation for Bedworth

Bedworth's growth followed the transport. The Coventry Canal opened through the town in 1789 and the railway from Coventry to Nuneaton followed in 1850. The M6 arrived just south of the town in 1971, which is why so many warehouses and factories now sit around junction 3 at Exhall.

The pits that once defined the place have gone: the last colliery in Bedworth, Newdigate, shut in 1982 and Coventry Colliery on the edge of town followed in 1991. Work now comes from the Bayton Road estate, the offices in the town centre and the logistics and retail parks along the A444 towards the Arena.

For a stay of several months, Sullivan Heights is about 5 miles by road from Bedworth, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 6 miles and Humber Hub about 6 miles. Every house has its own washing machine, kitchen and free parking. Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and council tax are all in the price.

Longer bookings come in at a lower nightly rate and stays run for up to twelve months. A company paying for the stay receives a pro-forma invoice with its PO reference before the contract starts.

Ribbon weaving spilled over from Coventry in the 18th and 19th centuries and Huguenot weavers settled in the town. Mining here goes back to the 13th century. Specialist makers still trade, from car parts at Exhall to flags and regalia in the town centre.
