Group accommodation for Rugby

For a rugby club or a group of fans, the town is a pilgrimage. Legend says William Webb Ellis picked up the ball at Rugby School in 1823; his statue outside the school has been one of the most visited spots in town since England won the World Cup in 2003. The Webb Ellis Rugby Football Museum in the town centre still makes traditional balls by hand.

The school buildings are worth the walk on their own. Most were designed by William Butterfield, including the chapel of 1872 with its octagonal tower 138 feet tall. The Rugby School Museum tells the story of the school and the town. Rugby Art Gallery and Museum holds the Rugby Collection of 20th-century British art, with works by L. S. Lowry, Stanley Spencer and Paula Rego.

Stoke Lodge and Stoke House are about 11 miles by road from Rugby, Humber Hub about 12 miles and Sullivan Heights about 14 miles. Humber Hub sleeps 10, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House nine each side by side and Sullivan Heights six, so a squad or a family gathering stays under one or two roofs.

The house rules keep things calm for neighbours: no parties or events, no smoking inside and no pets. A meal together round the table is exactly what the houses are for.
