Short let accommodation for Rugby

Rugby's centre is compact and mostly Victorian, built around the Jubilee Clock Tower of 1887 in Market Place. High Street and Sheep Street, two of the oldest streets, were pedestrianised in the 1980s. St Andrew's Church, with a 22-metre west tower that looks more like a castle turret, has stood on its site since 1140.

For an evening out there is the professional Macready Theatre and the amateur Rugby Theatre in the centre, a nine-screen cinema at a retail park to the north and the Benn Hall, the largest general venue, which opened in 1961. Caldecott Park sits beside the town hall and there are golf courses at Rugby Golf Club and Whitefields. The Rugby Art Gallery, Museum and Library opened in 2000 and shows Roman finds from Tripontium on Watling Street.

Stoke Lodge and Stoke House are about 11 miles by road from Rugby, Humber Hub about 12 miles and Sullivan Heights about 14 miles. Each is let whole and ready on arrival, so a weekend visitor has a sofa, a kitchen table and a proper bed rather than a single room. The old core of Market Place, High Street, Sheep Street, Church Street and North Street still forms the centre of the town.

Albert Street and Regent Street, the second laid out in 1905, were added as the Victorian town grew. The old cattle market by the station closed in 2008 and its site is now housing, a hotel and a supermarket.
