Keresley
Around 3,100 homes are planned across the Keresley urban extension. Keresley Parish Council lists Bellway with 550, David Wilson Homes with 450 and Lioncourt with 800, plus 500 more off Thompsons Road. Midland Heart and Partner Construction built 54 affordable homes on the old Coventry Sports Club ground on Bennetts Road. Two schemes on Watery Lane add 57 more.
Holbrook Lane
The former Meggitt works covered 65 acres. Persimmon opened Whitmore Place, 347 homes, in March 2022. Chancerygate's Holbrook Business Park is growing alongside, with the old playing fields kept as open space. The combined authority expected around 200 jobs from its first phase and 295 from the second.
Wood End and Henley Green
Spirit Quarters, the regeneration of Wood End, Henley Green, Manor Farm and Deedmore, is a £360 million scheme the Coventry Society expects to bring more than 3,300 homes in the longer term. It follows £54 million of New Deal for Communities spending between 2001 and 2011.
Wilsons Lane
By the A444 at Longford, L&Q Estates won permission on appeal in 2023 for 73 homes and 55,750 square metres of commercial floor space. The site straddles Coventry and Nuneaton and Bedworth.
Where to stay
Sullivan Heights is our house on the north side of the city: about 3 miles by road from Holbrook Lane and about 2 miles from Wood End.
