About Brownshill Green

Brownshill Green is a suburban hamlet on the north-west edge of Coventry, next to Allesley, Coundon and Keresley. To its north is the city boundary and beyond it the Warwickshire village of Corley.

Its main road is Brownshill Green Road, running from the Coundon Wedge junction in the north to Keresley Road in the south. The housing is mostly twentieth-century terraces and semi-detached homes and the area keeps a semi-rural feel, with a 40mph limit on several of the main roads.

Brownshill Green is one of the old Arden hamlets that make up Allesley parish, alongside Pinketts Booth, Pickford, Hawkes End and Wall Hill. As the crow flies it is about two miles from the city centre, though it feels further and it is known locally for a large, long-established garden centre.

Schools for the area are usually counted in neighbouring suburbs, Keresley Grange Primary in Keresley and Coundon Court in Coundon. Keresley's ancient woodland and footpaths are close by for anyone wanting a walk.

Sullivan Heights is about 5 miles by road from Brownshill Green, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House about 5 miles and Humber Hub about 5 miles. All four have free parking, which helps on this side of the city where buses are less direct.
