Council car parks in the centre
Coventry City Council's long-stay car parks charge 24 hours a day, every day of the year except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. At Gosford Street (170 spaces) and Silver Street (106 spaces) the prices from 7 April 2025 run from £2.40 for an hour to £9.60 for up to twelve hours and £11 for 24 hours.
You can pay by card, by coins or through PaybyPhone, RingGo, JustPark and APCOA Connect. A weekly digital ticket is available for most of the council's long-stay pay and display car parks, which helps anyone working in the city centre for a week.
Blue Badge holders
Blue Badge holders pay nothing in the council car parks we checked. Gosford Street has eight disabled spaces. The cathedral has a small number of Blue Badge spaces but no public parking on site, so other visitors use the city car parks a short walk away.
Park and ride and parks
Coventry has one park and ride service, from the War Memorial Park, run by Stagecoach in Warwickshire. Out of town, Coombe Abbey Park charges on exit from £2 and opens its car park from 5am to 8pm, with no overnight parking.
Parking at the houses
All four houses include parking at no charge. Humber Hub has free off-road parking and the other three have free parking on the street outside. For a week in the city that saves a weekly car park ticket on top of the stay. A crew can leave the vans at the house and take the train or bus into the centre.
