Theatre
The Belgrade Theatre was the first civic theatre built in Britain after the Second World War and opened on 27 March 1958. It takes its name from Coventry's twin city of Belgrade, which gave beech timber for the building. A £14 million refurbishment added the B2 studio, which opened in 2008. The theatre is now Grade II listed.
On the University of Warwick campus, Warwick Arts Centre is the largest venue of its kind in the UK outside London, with theatre, music and film under one roof.
Live music
Coventry was the centre of the 2 Tone movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Specials took Too Much Too Young and Ghost Town to number one. The Coventry Music Museum in Ball Hill tells the story, down to the car from the Ghost Town video.
For gigs, FarGo Village has The Box, a 500-capacity music and drama venue. The Coventry Building Society Arena hosts big concerts. The Skydome, a 3,000-seat arena, puts on occasional shows.
Sport under the lights
The Skydome is home to the Coventry Blaze, founding members of the Elite Ice Hockey League. Coventry City play in the Premier League at the arena after winning promotion in 2026. Coventry Rugby play at the Nick Newbold Stadium.
Back to the house
Humber Hub is about 2 miles by road from FarGo Village and about 3 miles from the Belgrade. Sullivan Heights is about 3 miles from the arena. All four have a living room big enough for the whole group to finish the night in, with house rules that mean no parties.
